The Team
Montenegro Adventure is an adventure travel and holiday company staffed by experienced and enthusiastic adventure education instructors. Our purpose is to offer guests the opportunity to explore this beautiful and exciting adventure destination.
David Goss
David is based in Britain and runs our office in Leighton Buzzard. He heads up the adventure activities side of the business. He has been working full-time in outdoor and adventure education since 1996 - both as an instructor and as a centre manager. During this time he has worked at residential centres throughout the British Isles and has led trips to many parts of Europe and the developing world. He is a qualified mountain leader and is also qualified to lead in rock climbing, caving, canoeing, kayaking and power boating.
Steve Goss
Steve is based in Montenegro and runs our office in Herceg Novi. He heads up the accommodation side of the business. He has been working as a consultant in several countries in the Balkans since 1992 and, through his company Bowen Goss, he designs and builds holiday accommodation in the area around Herceg Novi. This accommodation is available either to purchase or as holiday lets, and is used as the base for our activities. Information about this can be viewed at www.bowen-goss.com. Qualifications
All our guides are suitably experienced and hold appropriate, current, British qualifications. Our minimum qualifications are as follows:
Mountain walking in summer conditions: MLTUK Summer Mountain Leader Award
Mountain walking in winter conditions: MLTUK Winter Mountain Leader Award
Sea kayaking in the bay: BCU Level 2 Kayak Coach
Power boating in the bay: RYA Powerboat Level 2 Award
For other activities, which may be offered from time to time, we ensure that our guides hold appropriate qualifications. In addition, as a minimum, all our guides hold a current 16-hour first aid qualification.
Insurance
Montenegro Adventure is a member of the Adventure Activity Instructor Liability Scheme, and holds £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance for all the activities that we provide. The certificate wording can be viewed at www.adventureactivityinsurance.co.uk/freelance/policyFeatures.shtml#documents. Some of the activities we offer are not provided by ourselves, but by associate companies. In this case, we ensure that appropriate public liability insurance is held by these companies. Please ensure that you hold appropriate travel insurance to cover mountain walking and any other activities that you wish to participate in.
Montenegro Adventure also holds £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance through Intasure for our Djenovići Springs apartment. The certificate wording can be viewed at www.holidaylettings.intasure.info/policy-wording.asp.
